In 2023, KOMO news reported that according census workers, 171,000 people plan to leave King County in the next year.

Peter Seifert can relate. He moved to Minnesota from Seattle in 2021 as he prepared to start a family. "Do I feel safe enough walking to the park with my one-year-old kid just to play a little bit?" he asked hypothetically. "Who knows what could happen?"

I would like to invite people leaving Seattle to investigate living in Dupont, WA. It's known for its beautiful scenery, parks, and a sense of community. The proximity to Joint Base Lewis-McChord often brings a mix of cultures and opportunities.  Dupont has some great schools within the Steilacoom Historical School District.  Chloe Clark Elementary, Chloe Clark Middle School, and Steilacoom High School are some of the schools in the area. The district is known for its dedicated educators and supportive community.   Dupont's smaller community might foster closer relationships between families, teachers, and the schools themselves.  Dupont generally has a lower crime rate compared to many other areas. It's considered a relatively safe community. However, like any place, it's always a good idea to stay informed about the specific neighborhood or area you're considering. Checking local crime statistics, speaking with residents, and consulting resources from the Dupont Police Department or online databases can give you a clearer picture of the safety levels in the particular area you're interested in residing.

I have a 4 bedroom house available in Dupont at 1223 Burnside Place, Dupont, WA 98327 MLS 2140326 Please give me a call for further information at 206-306-5146
